Double Kagami: Lanakila Meals on Wheels Papio Tournament

Friends of mine entered the first Papio Tournament, Fishin’ for Meals (held by the Lanakila Meals on Wheels) out in Kaneohe Bay, HI…and came back with 2nd place for 2 Kagamis (3.65lbs & 3.33lbs).  You can also view the TV news story on KITV4.  Congrats Chris and Mike, and thanks for letting me make prints!

Da Ahi

Its been a while since my last post, but the Ahi run came in big this past summer…this one came in estimated at around 170lbs…its no wonder why in Hawaiian, Ahi translates to fire (in reference to what happened to Hawaiian fisherman in old times when fishing from outrigger canoes, the line would go out so fast over the side, it would smoke the side of the canoe)…the reel was screaming!
